Real Estate & Property Law

Safe property transactions — due diligence, contracts, and registration with the cadastre.

In Macedonian law, ownership of real estate passes with registration in the cadastre — not with the contract, and not with the keys. Everything in a property transaction should be built around that fact, starting from a fresh property deed and ending with your name registered.

I handle the legal side of buying, selling and leasing property: title and encumbrance checks with the Agency for Real Estate Cadastre, legalisation status, sale and pre-sale agreements structured so payment and registration protect each other, notarisation, transfer tax and final registration.

I also advise on co-ownership and marital property questions, easements, and disputes over property rights — the areas where a purchase that skipped due diligence tends to resurface years later.
